Where turbocharging met Ferrari perfection.
The Ferrari 488 GTB marked a seismic shift in Maranello's philosophy. For the first time since the legendary F40, Ferrari's mid-engine V8 sports car went turbocharged. Purists were concerned. Their fears were completely unfounded.
The 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 661 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque, numbers that demolished its naturally aspirated predecessor, the 458 Italia. More impressively, Ferrari's engineers virtually eliminated turbo lag through a combination of twin-scroll turbochargers, variable boost management, and an ultra-flat torque curve that delivers massive thrust from just 3,000 RPM.
The 488 GTB won the International Engine of the Year award three years running (2016-2018). It set new benchmarks at every racetrack it visited and became the foundation for Ferrari's dominant 488 GT3 racing program, which won championships worldwide across every major GT racing series.

50% more than 458 ItaliaThe 488 GTB's design was heavily influenced by wind tunnel testing. The double front spoiler, blown rear spoiler, and active aerodynamics work together to produce 50% more downforce than the 458 while simultaneously reducing drag. The signature side air intakes channel air to the intercoolers with surgical precision.
Inside, the driver-focused cockpit features a new steering wheel with integrated controls, a configurable TFT display, and Ferrari's signature yellow tachometer that sweeps with intoxicating drama. Every surface is wrapped in premium leather and Alcantara, yet the focus remains squarely on the driving experience.
